Where is WOS?
WOS is held in the Central Desert, 80kms east of Mparntwe/Alice Springs, at Ross River Resort, Ross Hwy, Hale, NT, 0872.
Are there day tickets?
At this stage no, with the exception of family day tickets, which are available for pre-sale via Humanitix.
How many kids can I bring with a family ticket?
Up to 5
When do I need to be offsite after the festival?
1pm Monday 6th May 2024
Is there weekend parking that isn’t in the campsites?
Only a limited amount. If you don’t have a car pass and don’t need to camp in your car, we recommend getting the bus or carpooling.
Is there day parking?
Only a limited amount
Can I camp with my car?
Only if you have purchased a Car Pass
Is there a bus to WOS?
Yep, and it will drop you and your bags right at main campsite. Check out the Getting to Site section of the website.
Bus tickets will be available via Humanitix from Feb 2024.
Is there phone signal at WOS?
Nope.
Do I have to buy a kids ticket?
Yes; kids (4 – 12) are $20 & youth (13 – 17) are $120
Can I leave site during the festival?
Yes, provided you return during gate opening hours listed above and submit to a vehicle search on re-entry. Please do not drive in the campsites after dusk and before dawn. Please do not drive while intoxicated or impaired.
Will there be fires at WOS?
No personal fires or fires in campsites. There will be communal fires up on the main site at night.
Are there cabins available to rent at Ross River during the festival?
Cabins are managed through Ross River Resort and are limited in number and usually booked up in advance.
Can you book a certain campsite location?
Nope, first in best dressed.
Is there camping on the main event site?
Yes
How accessible is the festival?
Toilets and showers at WOS are accessible and accessible camping can be arranged by emailing [email protected]
While every effort is made to make WOS accessible for all levels of mobility it is recommended for wheelchair users to have assistance. Wide Open Space accepts Companion Cards
Are there powered sites?
Not for patron use unless for medical reasons. If you require more information email [email protected]
