Where is WOS?
WOS is held in the Central Desert, 80kms east of Mparntwe/Alice Springs, at Ross River Resort, Ross Hwy, Hale, NT, 0872.

Are there day tickets?
Only family day tickets are available for pre-sale

How many kids can I bring with a family ticket?

Yes; kids (4 – 12) are $20 & youth (13 – 17) are $120

Are there vehicle passes required for WOS?
No.
- Can I leave site during the festival?
Yes, provided you return during gate opening hours listed above and submit to a vehicle search on re-entry. Please do not drive in the campsites after dusk and before dawn. Please do not drive while intoxicated or impaired.

Are there cabins available to rent at Ross River during the festival?
Cabins are all booked up for 2023 with a large waiting list.

Can you book a certain campsite location?
Nope, first in best dressed.

How accessible is the festival?
Toilets and showers at WOS are accessible and accessible camping can be arranged by emailing info@wideopenspace.net.au While every effort is made to make WOS accessible for all levels of mobility it is recommended for wheelchair users to have assistance. Wide Open Space accepts Companion Cards

- Will there be fires at WOS?
No personal fires or fires in campsites. There will be communal fires up on the main site at night.
Terms & Conditions
By purchasing a Ticket to attend WOS23, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions set out below, just as if you had signed a written agreement containing these Terms and Conditions.
Tickets
All Tickets sales are FINAL AND BINDING.
Tickets may however be refunded up until April 1st 2023, made via our official ticket platform Humanitix.
Name Changes can be made via Humanitix up until the 24th April 2023
The promoter will not replace lost, destroyed, damaged or stolen tickets.
You may be refused entry to the Festival if your ticket is found to be cancelled, invalid, already checked in or does not appear in the Front Gate scanner system.
ID is required for entry and must match the name on your ticket.
Fake ticket sales do happen - tickets purchased 2nd hand through any other platform or service and will not be accepted at the front gate.
The advertising of re-sale tickets on the festival's official social media channels or the festival event page is not permitted. Any such posts will be removed, and your ticket may be invalidated. In this instance you would not be entitled to a refund.
The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to change the Festival artist line-up, the festival dates, entry and exit times to the Festival, artist performance times, amount of artists, special effects, amount of stages, amenities, amount or type of stalls, Festival programmes, camping ground layouts, Festival Site layout or any other Festival facility or attraction (jointly “Facilities and Attractions”) without notice. The Promoter shall not be required to provide Ticket refunds (in whole or in part) or other compensation to Ticket Holders if the Facilities and Attractions are changed.
The Promoter will not give any Ticket refunds (in whole or in part) or other compensation to Ticket Holders due to poor weather prior to, during or after the Festival.
The Promoter will not give any Ticket refunds (in whole or in part) or other compensation to Ticket Holders who cannot attend due to change in personal circumstances including, but not limited to, illness (including COVID-19), injury, flight cancelations or delays.
On Site
You shall be permitted to enter and leave the festival site according to strict timelines published on the website (which are subject to change) by the promoter.
The Promoter fully reserves the right to refuse any Ticket Holder entry to the Festival Site if the Promoter in its sole discretion believes that the Ticket Holder would be a potential threat to security or the smooth running of the Festival. In the event a Ticket Holder is refused entry to the Festival pursuant to this clause, that Ticket Holder shall not in any circumstance be entitled to a Ticket refund.
It is a condition of entry to the festival that all ticket holders must allow festival staff to search their vehicles, clothes, bags and other possessions prior to entering the festival site. If you fail to do so, you may not be admitted entry to the festival.
You shall be permitted to enter and leave the Festival Site according to strict timelines published on the Website (which are subject to change) by the Promoter.
Illegal drugs are prohibited at Wide Open Space. Any Ticket Holder found in possession of illegal drugs will be evicted from site and precluded from future festivals or WOS affiliated events.
Ticket Holders must wear a wristband at all times during the Festival. If you are caught without a wristband, you will be removed from the Festival Site.
Ticket Holders must abide by Wide Open Space Community Standards, as laid out on the Wide Open Space website and in printed collateral.
Ticket Holders must comply with all reasonable directions from Wide Open Space crew, security or volunteers.
Your ticket shall only provide access to signed ‘public’ areas at the festival site. You agree to keep within the signed ‘public’ areas of the festival site. Ticket holders who are found in unauthorised areas may be asked to leave the festival. Ticket holders who are found outside the boundaries of the festival site will be considered trespassers and subject to prosecution by local authorities.
Postponement / Cancellation
The Promoter reserves its rights to cancel the Festival at any time due to a Force Majeure Event, which in the Promoter’s sole discretion makes it logistically impossible to continue to operate the Festival. “Force Majeure Event” shall mean anything outside the Promoter’s reasonable control, including without limitation, fire, bad weather, damage to Festival Site caused by bad weather, rain, flood, drought, storm, lightning, act of god, explosion, sabotage, accident, COVID-19 outbreak, change in Government regulations regarding the public gathering or health and safety directives, labour dispute, council or police rulings or war.
The Promoter reserves its rights to shorten the length of the Festival at any time due to a Force Majeure Event.
Minors
Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (“Guardians”), who attends the Festival for the duration, and must be supervised at all times.
Guardians will be required to attend the box office on arrival to site to sign in their accompanying minors before collecting their wristbands.
Guardians are responsible for the health, safety and wellbeing of minors in their care and must ensure that minors the abide by the Festivals terms and conditions.
Loss or Damage
You must not wilfully or knowingly cause damage to, deface, tamper with, remove or steal any festival or homestead infrastructure, assets, equipment, machinery, amenities or property.
The promoter will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to any property (including without limitation personal property such as tents, cars, bags, money or other personal items) brought to or purchased at the festival.
Failure to abide by the above Terms & Conditions may result in your eviction from site and preclude you from attending any future Wide Open Space Festivals or affiliated events.

What to Bring
- Drinking water & refillable container
- Hat, Sunscreen & Sunglasses
- Warm clothes and extra clothes - it can really cold in the desert at night!
- Sturdy shoes
- Swag or tent & sleeping bag
- Shade for camp – please don’t bring cheap and breakable pop-up marquees. Tarps, poles & rope is much more durable and can be reused.
- Food
- Plate, Bowl, Cup, Cutlery
- Waste & Recycling Bags
- Torch & extra batteries
- Cash – there’s no atms and eftpos can be unreliable on site
What NOT to Bring
- No weapons or dangerous items
- No illegal drugs
- No alcohol
- No glass
- No mirrors
- No fireworks, fire crackers, or flares
- No generators or sound systems
- No dogs or pets (guide dogs allowed)
- No fires, candles or open flames
